Yeah, these are just my opinions. Comparing to dota cos dota is the biggest aos map out there, no duh.
Items
The items in clash are pretty new and spiffy. However, dota beats this out from sheer more existance time, its much more balanced then CotN's items are, also partly in fact that dota's recipe system can be altered in any way one wishes to change the total price, while in CotN many items blow compared to other ones cos they belong in higher level recipes.

Heroes
Bleh, if you count 6.0, Clash is beat down, although 6.0 heroes could use some tweaking, they are all just cool in general with synegistic skills. If we're talking about 5.84b though, I say Clash. Many of dota's heroes still exist from RoC, heroes like drow, panda, leoric, boring and bland. I like the new icon for str/agil/intel, but Clash needs to make its heroes base stats more standarized (unless there is some extra ordinary need for a special handicap/boost), and some cooler skills, but I like em in general.

Aesthetics
Clash all the way! While lacking any custom models, the terrain look is great (blood for water and stuff) with the main building being this huge orb thing. Dota is meh, it's just a forest. Primary attribute icon look is great

Terrain
Hmm, this is a close call. I've simply played dota longer, even 6.0, so I know the terrain better than Clash, but I still think I'm going to go with dota on this one. I prefer longer lanes with more ambush spots, top lane is extremely short with 1 possible ambush spot that can only be accessed from inside the lane anyway. Middle is a lot better, but :\. That's just my opinion, being able to ambush at level 6 with heroes roaming around everywhere is very fun imo, and clash lacks this until you down a tower or two. Also, what's up with all those spider eggs that don't do anything?

Creep system
Both are bleh, but I like clash's system better. When you down a barx, that team's creeps get stronger as a last ditch attempt. While this may draw out late game even longer, it's nice since in Dota once they get your barxes you're screwed (they are stronger than you since they pushed to your base, and now their creeps are better too.) Probably once you hit their base you'll start kamikazing the main building before the barxes get destroyed, but I already have talked to ima dinasor about implementing an invul main building until all 3 barxes are dstroyed (they generate a forcefield around it, something like that), and he's agreed to it, so what the heck.

Bugs
Dota again has the advantage from simply being around longer to be tested while Clash is relatively new. I haven't found any major bugs with Clash, although the timers are screwed up, 6.0 does have some issues :\. 5.84b was near bug free before 1.18 patch, but whatever. Both are well made and tested without any large design flaws, so what the heck, both of them get a point.

I'll add balance and more when I play clash more often, NO ONE EVER HOSTS.
